Maybe it is only at home that I truly let go.
Watching the morning light slowly change shape on the wall. A breeze moving the sheer curtain, carrying the smell of outside to the tip of my nose. Following my mood, I wander out of the bedroom and lie down on the sofa with my favourite mug and a coffee. It turns out home was the free place all along.
softpeopleclub began for these hours. We wanted to take the feeling home gives us and make it bigger. Something like a wide, soft embrace that holds all of you.
Sleepwear was where we started. Changing into pajamas as a small ritual, almost a cleansing. Fabric soft against the skin, easy enough to forget you are wearing it, so the whole body can finally rest.
From there it grew into the home itself. A cup washed and put back. A curtain opened to let the light in. A blanket folded at the end of the bed. The home that looks after us deserves to be looked after too, and these small details are how soft living finds its way into every corner.
We want to build something worth keeping. Something that grows with the home, year after year, holding the little moments that look like nothing and turn out to be everything.
